12 "Just Fun" 2024 Films That Were Quietly Woke

Every year a handful of releases get waved off as pure popcorn, and every year the scorecards tell a slightly different story. The disagreement is baked into the numbers: most sit on a single scorer, while a couple drew multiple votes and a wide spread. Fun and politics were never mutually exclusive, and this list makes the case one entry at a time.
